Although I've been really maintaining a healthy (kind of) diet for the last couple of weeks. At least being frugal about options. Yogurt for breakfast, lean cuisine for lunch, and I cook dinner when I get home. I've even bought apples, asparagus, broccoli rabe, lettuce, carrots all in the attempt that I will cook and/or eat more fresh produce. But I guess the didn't work, because as I was diligently carrying a laundry basket from my basement and turned the corner to go through the kitchen to attempt the second flight of stairs my baby toe caught the corner of the wall and I broke it! Yep, that's right, Sarah the oaf broke her first bone. She made it almost 29 years without. Of course I did it in girly fashion I suppose and broke the pinky toe. But being that when ever something happens to me it's done right, I not only broke it in one place, but two places. SOOOOO, in addition to seeing a Reproductive Endocrinologist twice a month, I had to make an extra trip to Urgent Care on Saturday and get my foot x-ray'd to see if I was correct or being melodramatic. Now I have to tape my toe to the one next to it, and wear this ugly boot on my foot for the next 5 weeks.
Speaking of doctor's I returned last week to see my RE again. They took my blood AGAIN. This time my estrogen at midcycle was at 78 *should be above 100 midcycle* so they don't think that this round will work either. I will not be increasing my dosage next month as they have been tentatively scheduled for my hysteroscopy & laproscopy December 17th. I'm pretty nervous about having surgery since I've never had to be put to sleep nor had anything major ever done. I guess "outpatient" surgery isn't major, but to me it is. I freaked out last November when I had a wisdom tooth pulled because I've never so much as had a cavity and had no idea what dental work felt like. Of course it wasn't that big of a deal, and the dentist said I was a perfect patient, but if they could've read my insides before the procedure, they might have had more clammy hands, like mine. Of course I blame my mother for taking such good care of my oral hygiene, and making sure I was super careful with my bones to be unacustommed to anything having to deal with casts, being put to sleep or root canals. So thanks Mom! lol! Oh, and happy 61st BIRTHDAY!!!! I LOVE YOU!
This Friday we are handing out candy to the kids (while Steve and a couple buddy's scare the pants off of them) I feel for the young ones, poor kiddies, Steve has no mercy and Halloween is his favorite time of year. I said at least use your discretion, no mother will be happy if they have to taken their child home to change from an accident. I mean Woodhaven's already got a lockdown on trick-or-treat times. 6pm-8pm. Which is silly. When we were kids it was from after mom gave you dinner until you couldn't walk anymore. Our neighbors said that the neighborhood does see a lot of children though, so Steve said and I quote my loving husband "Better get enough candy to pass out, so the the neighbors don't think we're assholes because we ran out." I appeased him and bought 6 HUGE bags of candy, and told him if we run out than the kids are too greedy. Afterwards we're going to the 1st Annual April & Frank Treece Halloween bash. I'm being a flapper, Steve's going to be Jason, and Sarah (my sis-in-law) is going to be a 50's pin-up girl. Pictures to follow probably on Monday.

Can you train a dog to do your laundry?
I wish that somehow dogs had opposable thumbs and you could train them to do laundry. If this was the case, Beast would know this before "sit." This is how much I LOATH doing laundry. It's not so much the wash and dry part that I have the issue. It's the fold before they wrinkle and/or hang up and put away. I try to keep up on it so it doesn't get out of hand (oops, been busy with school. What? WAIT, I have no clean work socks! Blasphemy!)but it always comes back to haunt me. Also I wish that after I go do massive grocery shopping (ok, ok so I didn't need that extra bag of semi-sweet morsels)that the dog could somehow carry all the bags in for me. You might ask, Don't you have a husband for that? Since the manly thing to do is carry heavy loads. But we were out of basics and it just got crazy from there, and my poor husband is on AFTERNOONS AGAIN this week! I hate afternoons almost as much as I loath laundry. If I wasn't working fulltime and going to school fulltime it might not be such an issue, but the only time I get face time with my husband when he's on afternoons is when I'm giving him a kiss on the cheek goodbye in the morning, and that just plain sucks.
The Beast seems to be doing well after all his worm treatments and is getting quite rambunctious. He is doing what Julie called "rounding" and is desparately at arms all the time with the squiggly little fur thing stuck to his behind. In the past week he has tore up 4 of his toys to the point of having to be thrown away. But with all the craziness he brings, he's quite sweet when he wants to be cuddled or played with.
Last weekend I decided to spontaneously take Friday off because I wanted to spend the beatiful fall day with Steve. We got up at a decent time and decided to go for a drive. We ended up in Dundee at this small little country farm (the Houpt Farm) where we could pick our own pumpkins. This is something we've been wanting to do but Apple Charlie's doesn't allow it anymore, and the Pumpkin Patch isn't open. So this little detour was perfect.

Afterwards we continued on to Irish Hills at had lunch on Wampler's Lake at Jerry's. Who barnone has the world's greatest pizza. It was the perfect day.

It's a delicate balancing game...
Well I'm in my second week of this semester and all seems to be going well. It's alot more homework than I'm used to especially because the courses I'm taking are considered "hybrid" courses. Where it's like taking an on-site class and on-line class, but it's the same class. So I have to be onsite 10 wks and still do the online requirements to receive all 6 credits. It's a bit to keep up with and not confuse with other items, but I'm confident.
The house has been coming together at a slow pace, with work, school and puppy, it's hard to do any "decorating" especially with no time or money. I want to get curtains for the front room, family room, office and our bedroom. I was thinking about it the other day. I also want to get a new coffee table for the family room, and a kitchen table. Steve has a "guy" who is on the look out for his man den furniture. I also need to get picture frames for Steve's man posters and the big one he has from Germany. Then I need to put it all together in a nice way. UGH! I need help. I don't know how to make it look good and tasteful. Right now it still looks like a cluttery mess. I need to hang things and move things around. It's frustrating.
I also got a call from the doctor last night while on break at school. She said she reviewed my HSG films and I definately have a septate uterus, so I will be needing the surgery. I go back in about 3 1/2 weeks to discuss (at the end of this cycle). I'm hoping to set it up in December after the semester is done so I don't have to worry about being in pain and doing all the homework. The end of the semester is when things get demanding, so I'd rather not be in recovery pain while I'm working on 2, 15 page papers. According to the doctor this is an outpatient surgery, Hysteroscopy and Laproscopy. We'll see. I'm a bit nervous since I've never been knocked out before. I'll have to ask my 7 year old niece Hannah, since she had her tonsils and adnoids removed this morning. Poor thing. I hope she's doing ok. I sent my love to her this morning.
I'll leave you with a picture of Steve and I from the Wings Game last Friday (our first of the year):

Julie Tagged Me
Well Julie tagged me and I thought this would be fun.....
The "rules" of the game are as follows:
1. Post the rules on your blog.
2. Write 6 random things about yourself.
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post.
4. If you're tagged, DO IT and pass on the tag.
Now, 6 things about me...
#1. I have to make sure the water is out of the faucet when I get out of the shower. You know, like when you turn it half way between tub and shower and it pours out. I won't get out before that.
#2. I love to get the mail. I still feel the excitement of a possible letter.
#3. I clean my ears EVERYDAY. I'm weird about earwax.
#4. I don't like my food to touch. It grosses me out when my spaghetti sauce touches my garlic bread, or if theres a pickle on the plate and the juice gets on anything.
#5. I like my "personal" space. I get very uncomfortable when people enter it without my permission.
#6. I hate blue candy. I won't eat or drink anything that is artificially blue.
Now on to the tagging...
1. Sarah
2. Julia
3. Pril
4. Jenny
5. Rachael
6. Sandi
