They say our love won't pay the rent...

Well back to the beginning. Although this cycle showed promise, the clomid/ovidrel combination wasn't quite enough to make those damn eggs drop! Although my levels keep improving (Progesterone 3.8, much better than last year's .8) they still aren't quite there to indicate that I've ovulated. So now we're back to the beginning again. I'll start the provera tomorrow, and we'll get the show on the road. I just hate the way the Clomid makes me feel and now I'll be up to 4 pills a day (200mg) so the night sweats will be abundant. I've read on other blogs that they don't typically give you more than 250mg a day of Clomid, so I'm assuming that if next month doesn't work, then November will be my last round of clomid before we try something new. I'm just worried we'll end up having to do daily injectibles which can cost an upwards of $2000 a month. If thats the case, then we'll be on a TTC break. With Steve out of work we can barely afford the 1 shot that costs $114. I'm hoping that we won't have to go that route since I had some good progress this month. We'll see what Dr. B says. I just have to say how much I love her staff. They are the most wonderful ladies I've had the pleasure of dealing with on a regular basis. It is totally worth the 45 drive across town at 7:30am in rush hour traffic.

In other news we had a fantastic time at Aj & Adam's wedding in South Haven, MI. It was so much fun and such a wonderful day. The food was incredible. AJ looked amazing. I loved her dress and she was glowing. The ceremony was perfect and romantic. We loved every minute of getting to share their special day with them. We can't wait to see all the pictures that everyone took. I've already seen a few from their photographer and they are gorgeous! I would recommend checking out their site Here's just a couple we were able to see:

Triggered

Well we were able to use the trigger shot that has been burning a whole in my fridge. I had 2 follies on Friday that measured 17mm and 16mm. So on Sunday I went next door to have my wonderful RN neighbor C administer the shot (I'm such a wuss!) Anyhow, it didn't hurt hardly at all, and we've been following orders for the last 3 days.

I go in on Monday for bloodwork to see if the shot triggered Ovulation or not. IF (big IF) it did, then I should find out if the rest worked by the 28th. Which just happens to be our 2nd anniversary. I can't believe we've been married 2 years already! Where did the time go! I'm so happy to be where we are, although we are a little worse for wear because of the damn economy, we have each other and thats what matters.

This weekend is AJ & Adam's wedding that I made the bathroom baskets for. We head to South Haven on Saturday morning. They are getting married on Lake Michigan, it should be wonderful and we're hoping the weather prediction stays the way it is. If so it should be a lovely day. I can't wait to see AJ in her dress~

No more white shoes til spring

Labor Day weekend was fun. Steve and I didn't make it past the first couple rounds of the LD games, but we still had a great time trying. I love sitting on the beach by a good fire. Its one of my favorite things. We got to relax and play with my neices and nephew for a few days. BOY are they exhausting! The girls are pretty self sufficient at ages 8 and 5, but you need to keep an eye on Tommy (he's only 2). He's really the sweetest boy. He's not fussy, easy to put to bed, and always giggling. The kids games were on Sunday and we watched all three play their games. Allie's game was a "daddy daughter" game, so Uncle Steve stepped up since Kevin wasn't there yet. Allie had to throw water balloons at Steve's head into a collander with a tack in it. They both were completely soaked afterwards and covered in sand. The potluck was amazing as always. Although Aunt Marge's chicken paprikash was sorely missed. (ITS THE BEST!!) Steve and I did the egg toss after dinner and got second place (I choked...its hard to throw an egg more than 50 feet softly) I ended up with egg all over me. Kristen came out with her friend Bill who was a great with the kids. They climbed on him all afternoon giving Steve a break. Kevin & Rachael made it out around lunchtime and brought us all presents from Mexico. My bowl is awesome!

I wish I had pictures, but I left the camera at home and Mom's was dead.

I go back to the RE tomorrow for my first scan of this cycle. I don't feel any different than the last time, but we'll see if I have any mature eggs this time. (Keeping my fingers and toes crossed)

Bases Loaded

Well CD1 was yesterday, which started with me at the doctors getting my blood drawn so they can get a hormonal base line. All my levels came back normal. Which is great! Although honestly they've always been normal when they do the draw. NOW, I start the 150mg of clomid on Wednesday night, and wait to see if my body will respond. I go in for bloodwork/ultrasound scan on Friday September 11th. Which is only CD12, but they think that with the higher doses of clomid that your body responds earlier. Who knows! This will be the most clomid I've taken. Hopefully it's the boost those little eggs need to grow to 20mm, so I can give myself the trigger shot.

I know God has it in His hands, but I'm hoping that this is the Magic Cycle. I really want to give Steve the best anniversary gift ever. Plus I've always wanted a June baby (Steve and I both have birthdays in the winter, so we wanted our child to be able to have his/her party outside) Although we'll definately take anytime of year, it would just be the cherry on top on the ice cream Sunday if I could give Steve that BFP on our anniversary!

I've never really gone on about how much I want this to happen, and it doesn't upset me too much when each month doesn't work out. I've kept a pretty low profile about the whole thing. I am completely EXHAUSTED about people asking us when it's "our turn", so this is my chance to be honest. I don't want to turn this into an infertility blog, especially since we have so many other wonderful things going on in our lives. So keep us in your prayers because the longer these treatments go on the more costly it becomes emotionally/and to our bank accounts!

Our weekend in Kalamazoo was awesome. Aj's friends are so much fun. We checked in to the hotel and promptly went swimming and lazing around in the hottub and sauna. Then we leisurely got ready for dinner and our night on the town. We had a fantastic time walking around downtown Kzoo in our little black dresses. We saw dualing pianos and Jen's husband's awesome funk band Funktion It was an awesome night. Steve went paintballing with the boys for 7 hours. Then to the casino in Battlecreek. I can't wait for their wedding in South Haven. Its going to be so much fun!

Lastly, I got A minuses in both classes! Two more semesters until I'm finished. My transcript officially says I'm a SENIOR now! Woo Hoo! Labor Day weekend should be fun too. Bocce & Washers. I'm excited to play. Then Cedar Point on Tuesday.
