So it has been one full year since Steve and I were married, and yesterday was just like the day we got married, full of sunshine and the colors of the leaves turning just right. We decided to go out on Saturday night and did a little bar hopping, which is so rare for us these days. We started at the Speedboat and had some dinner (totally disappointing, the menu is lacking with the new ownership) then we met up with some friends and Buffalo Wild Wings, from there we went to Mallie's which sucked (I hate those guys with tapout shirts, showing off chest hair, spiked hair doo, wearing sunglasses inside at night, GIVE ME A BREAK!)then we were going to the Wheat & Rye, but it was so crowded that we decided to just skip it and go to Slip's, which was a good time and we had fun.
Sunday (our anniversary) we slept in which was wonderful, then we attempted to go to Apple Charlie's but it was so crowded that we barely got out of the car before we got right back in and decided to go another day (20 min wait to buy cider and doughnuts! psh!) Then Steve and I went out for sushi dinner and had a great time ordering all sorts of different things than usual. Steve had octopus, which he said was "different & chewy". The sushi chef must've heard us talking about it being our anniversary because he made us a deep friend banana for dessert for free. It was DELICIOUS!
The Beast went to the vet, and he has worms (poor guy!) and an ear infection. Which we've been treating for a week now. Steve said he was really good for the doctor, and he weighs almost 10lbs, which is big for a 3mo old pug. He's been doing really well at home too. He's learned sit, high five, and laydown, plus he's almost got the concept of fetch down. He's only had one accident in his cage in over a week, which is TERRIFIC! Hopefully those will get less and less as time goes on.

When science doesn't do the job, the answer is: Increase the dosage...
Well I went in for my cycle day 21 follow up appointment at my reproductive endocrinologist this morning. The doctor was on vacation so I got "stuck" with thee nurse practitioner. Nurse Hayter. She was ok, but really not very personable and didn't know my story at all. I mean c'mon "How long are your cycles typically?" Me just staring at her like a deer in headlights thinking to myself "C'mon lady you could've at least looked over my records first!" I said jokingly "365 days" *SMILE* She didn't get it so I answered her shortly "I don't typically have one." She just smirked and kept looking at her computer and typing in things.
So after that joyous meeting (at which I'm very sure she's capable at her job, she just didn't have a great patient repetoire, and didn't know anything about my file) she sent me over for progesterone level check, where I donated a fresh vile of blood and they sent me on my way. I was super excited to find out because I felt for sure I had ovulated. I mean not that I know what that feels like, but I sure felt different that usual *down there*, and I got a positive ovulation predictor test. Oops, I mean FALSE positive. They called about 2 this afternoon to say my progesterone level was 1.1, BOO! They need to be higher than an 8 to show ovulation. So now I'm on to my next round of provera/clomid (double the clomid). I'm worried that the side effects will worsen with the double dosage, but I guess if it can make my body work correctly than its worth it.
In other news Beast (LFB) is sick. He has worms! Poor pup! Steven took him to the vet yesterday an $180 later we've got a vacinated and sick puppy. He has 4 parasites and an ear infection, poor Beast. We since been clearing the underbrush in our backyard because the Beast more than likely got it from eating Rabbit poop, and our backyard has been lush with rabbit droppings that had me worried about making the Beast sick. We also sprayed the remaining bushes with liquid fence. And let me tell you Liquid Fence smells TERRIBLE! IF you've ever seen Anchor Man when Paul Rudd puts on the "expensive cologne" and they describe what it smells like, this has got to be what was in that bottle.
Also "Wicked" is coming to Detroit from Dec 10 thru Jan 4th, and I have requested that this be my Christmas gift! I'll be so excited if we get to go!

If I should call you up, invest a dime.....
Well things have gotten down to ALMOST a good routine here at the house with the puppy. I don't want to jinx it by saying that we've been accident free for three days, but thats the truth. I wasn't sure if we're supposed to feed the Beast 2 or 3 times a day so it's been 3 until I find out from the vet for sure. I give him half of a cup of dry food at 7:30am, Steve feeds him lunch at 1-2pm, and dinner when I get home from work at 5:30. He gets a treat or two in the evening, and through those treats has learned the trick SIT before his name!! :) He's pretty good at coming when called although he's getting braver and braver and will go up the stairs without being provoked, but cannot seem to get himself down! He'll bark his little "viscous" barks until you pick him up and bring him down. It's cute! He also loves his little pug toy which he carries with him everywhere. Here's a couple new pics of the Beast:

In other news my first round of clomid went off with out a hitch, well unless you count the 50 or so HOT FLASHES. Other than that my mood swings have been kept in check and the only thing I'm feeling today on day 14 is slight cramping (which could mean impending ovulation which is a good thing! Or I could just be psyching myself out). Also I'm OFFICIALLY a College Graduate! I paid the last $50 graduation fee yesterday and I should receive my degree in the mail in 2-3 weeks. I start the Bachelor's AP on the 30th of this month. I'm not too thrilled with my classes, who really WANTS to take "Report Writing" & "Reasearch & Statistics" along with a "AP Tutorial" which will take up 2 of my Saturdays in October. These are considered 6 credit hour courses (except the Tutorial thing) too because of being in the Accelerated Program. Ugh, I guess I just need to suck it up. 15 months and I'll have my Bachelor's Degree!!! The countdown is on!

No longer a country boy....
Well we made it back in one piece! It took about 3 and a half hours to get to Marci's farm (and I only got lost once by taking a turn too early! Go ME!)to pick up LFB. He's a precious boy! He's done really well so far being at the house. He's a bundle of playfulness and really loves his new backyard. Once he gets sleepy he'll come and want to be picked up and cuddled. He's already doing really well on his leash, and he's only had one accident inside! He didn't even cry the whole almost 4 hour drive home! Here's some cute picture of him:

Also, I started the clomid and it makes me feel funny. Like odd, and I get this cooling sensation in my stomach (like fluid inside or something) and I've already gotten a couple not so bad hot flashes. Ugh! Hormone medicine sucks!

Stickshifts and Safetybelts, Bucket seats have all got to go...
Well we're just hours away from going to pick up LFB. We've spoken with Marci at Farnsworth Farms in Alexandria, Indiana and she said he's rarin' to go! (if you want to check out her site it's www.farnsworthfarms.biz) I'm so excited! We'll be making the 4hr drive first thing in the morning so we can get back to settle him in. Steve will be sleeping since he's on midnights and he has to work all weekend.
Afterwards we'll be going to the Collier's house to welcome the new Mr & Mrs Collier home on a visit from their new home in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. They've been down there for about 4 months now and I'm excited to see Jackie and her growing belly (she's 12 weeks preggo) and Cale. Here's a pic from their wedding from Aug 22nd.

In other news my best friend who also happens to live in Ft Walton Beach Florida, Candie, has received good news of her own. She and her husband Ryan who are both in the Airforce down there were married in March and are now expecting and are 5 weeks along with TWINS! Since Candie is herself a twin we were all telling her how we hoped she would be having twins and we must've jinxed her right because she IS! Here's a pic to prove it:

We're wishing them all the best for a safe and heathly pregnancy.
I will post pics of LFB promptly so you can all see how adorable he is once we get him home.
In other news I will be traveling back to the doctor on September 24th for my first blood draw and exam. I start my first round of clomid tomorrow and when I go back we'll find out if I need the surgery or not. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't since the thought of surgery makes me super nervous. But if the septum resection is necessary (with the septum it brings the miscarriage rate to a startling 60%) of course it will be done.
