Blessed is this Life...

The Lazy Hazy Crazy days of summer are winding down and we are officially 3 days and some hours from closing on our home! (and of course Steve would say 3 days from HOUSE, 4 days from COLLEGE FOOTBALL) We are just so excited to finally get out of our cramped apartment and stretch our wings in this new house (with double the square footage!)I really excited to finally have a dishwasher that isn't a living breathing human being and a washer/dryer that doesn't cost me a roll of quarters every week! It's like Christmas but better!

With our house comes a new addition to our family! Namely our little fat beastie pug that we will be picking up in Indiana in 2 weeks. Here's some pics! Isn't he adorable? LFB is about 8 weeks in these pictures, and he lives on a farm called Farnsworth Farms. The breeder Marci raises Pugs (fawn and black) and Boxers. we just fell in love with her puppies and I can't wait to pick LFB up and bring him home!

I'm working on a present for Steve for our 1st Wedding Anniversary that is quickly coming up! Everyone keeps telling me that it's paper, so right now I'm the winning bidder on 2 tickets for the Michigan vrs Wisconsin game on September 27th (big ten opener which he'll love, plus it's the day before our actual anniversary)We went to a Michigan game right after our wedding last year and met some great people so we really want to make it out to Ann Arbor as much as possible this year! If that falls through I heard on the radio that Metallica is coming to the Joe Louis in January and I was thinking about tickets for that. Not sure what else to get for him that would be "paper"y. I could always get him something for his man den that's sporty (like a picture or something) but the tickets would be a better gift.

Procrastination should've been my middle name instead of Elizabeth....

I can't believe it's almost the end of summer! Where has the summer gone? I never even got a sufficient sun burn to peel and burn again!!! I played ladder golf once, which is usually a one-two times a week summer staple. I went fishing one time and never even caught anything! Steve did however, go to the sweet firework store and spend his summer firework allowance, but still has a good amount stashed in the front hall closet just waiting for him to set on fire. I just went to my FIRST Tiger's game of the summer, and they lost horribly. Although we did keep ourselves busy with scratch offs and Steve messing with the guy that worked there who was totally off the deep end. This guy "Harold" threatened to kick out a family because the their small child (and I mean small, like 3 or 4) threw his stuffed animal and it hit the people in front of them, who subsequently laughed and handed it back. THREATENED TO KICK THEM OUT!! Sheesh, total Napoleon complex.

Wednesday I have a hair appointment, which is sorely overdue. I go to the doctor again on Thursday to see if they are going to schedule me for surgery or not. This is the first time I'm meeting Dr. Blacker, but I have done some online research and she has a kind face, and seems very competent. I've read a few of her fertility articles and she definitely knows her stuff. Afterward, I go back to work and then after that I have my LAST final, and I've earned my Associates Degree! I'm soo excited. One complete month of break, and then its back to the grind double time in the Accelerated BA program. We also got a clear to close on the house, and in 11 days we will become proud home owners!!!! I just can't wait. We are having issues picking out a bedroom set (which we've decided it going to be our first splurge purchase). I don't think I can go back to Art Van for a 4th time just to see the same stuff. Value City has a really nice one that we both love, but it's over the amount we wanted to spend. Don't even get me started on the raping that Gardener White wants for the same stuff. Steve says after we get settled into the house, he's going to contact Dianne (the President of the Mid Michigan Pug Club) and see about our puppy! We're hoping to get him/her in mid October.

Here's a couple pics from Friday night:

P.S. I just started the Twilight books by Stephenie Meyer (I have been waiting impatiently for them to come in the mail from Amazon.com for 3 whole days! lol) and I'm already in love with them. Thanks for everyone telling me to read them since you all know what a book whore I am. I now have been slacking on my packing/studying/writing my research paper for 2 days now! I keep coming up with excuses like, "Oh I'll just read to the end of the chapter then I'll fold those sweaters going to Purple Heart." and before I know it, it's 11pm and the night is gone, and I have to get to bed soon or I'll be a zombie tomorrow for work!

August Rushes in....

Yes I know cheesy title, but my witty quips are failing me today.

Either way the beginning of August can bum me out a bit. I think because its the last month of summer and I know that the cold is coming sooner than later. But it excites me also because I know College Football season is weeks away, not months, and I can pull out all my swag and finery and get in the mood.

This August also points out some very big mile stones for Steve and I. First we have a tentative close date on the house for August 29th. Although we've had some issues at my work (Co-workers going on vacation, after I've already had this date cleared for a MONTH!!!), the fact that we need to give our apartment 30 days notice (and our full approval hasn't come through yet!), and third we won't be able to know what time until the week before since Steve's swingy schedule is just that and unpredictable.

In other news, my appointment with Dr. L today went well. We went over my blood results, and x-rays, and ultrasounds. So far the only problem is still the amenorrhea, and sub septum uterus. All my levels are good, they actually showed I was in Luteal Phase, which is promising. I go see a new doctor (Dr. B, fertility guru) in Troy on the 21st. I'm a little nervous since this doctor will tell me whether I have to have surgery or not on the subseptus.

Also, in three weeks I will officially have my first degree!!! These last weeks are going to be painful, but its nice to just have to go to one class. I got an A in my online course, so my GPA is still up there to graduate Summa Cum Laude. My Associates in Marketing/Business is just a step. In September I'm starting the accelerated BA program. That will be 15 months of pure education hell, but I can actually see the pot of gold at the end, so I'm looking forward to it.
