Well this 4th of July weekend will be much different than the norm. Since we usually spend the weekend up at the cottages, and we aren't doing so this year (because I will be recovering from surgery),I'm baffled as to what are the haps Downriver during this weekend. I know we're invited to a party on Saturday at John's house. I hope he has a lounge chair for me to chill in. AJ has already promised me handicapped parking. Will I even be able to have a few drinks??? I must remember to ask the doctor tomorrow morning. Other than that I believe most of my time will be spent on the couch watching reruns of Friends and Roseanne while eating pain pills to numb my insides from the intrusion.
The rest of our summer is mainly filled with weddings and family in from out of town.
I'm hoping the pain isn't too bad, and that the healing goes smoothly! Say a little prayer please!
Ok, well on to class and then up early early to head to the hospital.

The time has come..
Well I haven't blogged in awhile, sorry about that! With our trip and everything going on at work I haven't had much time to sit and write down what's going on with us.
First, we had a WONDERFUL trip down to Florida. The beaches there are gorgeous, but of course don't compare to how gorgeous all the babies are! What different personalities they all have! It was great of Candie & Ryan to let us stay with them while we were down there, it really helped cost wise, and we got to see alot of them and the girls. We did all sorts of things. We went to all sorts of beaches. I have to say the beaches down there are the most beautiful I have seen in my life. The sand is so fine that it squeaks under your feet. The water was warm and I didn't once see a jelly fish (thank GOD!). We went on a boat to a place called Crab Island, we went to a state park that had an old fort that held Geronimo, and we basically went back and forth visiting. It was wonderful.
On the way home we went to Atlanta, to the Georgia Aquarium. I have to say that the aquarium was AWESOME, however, trying to find it was a big pain in the butt! Atlanta is confusing!
Then we backtracked to Scotsboro, AL and went to the Unclaimed Baggage store where we saw Hoggle from the Labyrinth and bought some things. Afterwards we headed up to Lynchberg and went to the Jack Daniel's distillery. I thought this would be a bore, but I really had a great time. It was interesting to see how they made Steve's choice liquor and the town was really quaint and nice.
Then we headed to Nashville, went on a cheesy ghost tour, and then bar hopped until the early dawn. Nashville was SO much fun that I'm sure Steve and I will plan a trip back there as soon as we can. On the way home we stopped at Mammoth Cave! It was amazing. We definitely have to go back there.
Now we're home and have settled back into our normal routine. My surgery is on Wednesday and I'm super nervous, but it will all work out I'm sure of it. The old thing that's happened since we've been home is my purse was stolen right off my desk at work, so I've been dealing with getting all of that taken care of. I can't believe the nerve of some people these days. It was a horrible day, until a co-worker found my ravaged purse at the bottom of the stairwell. The only things missing were my credit cards and cash (which was only about $2 since I'm not one to carry cash on me) Thank the lord it was found! I was a wreck!
So happy almost July! Wish me luck on my surgery! Pictures from our trip are posted on facebook.

10 is the lucky Number!
TEN DAYS!
10 days!
diez días!
Less than 2 weeks until I am only 2 semesters aways from my Bachelor's Degree (Took long enough)! Less than 2 weeks until I am on white sandy beaches in Florida! I cannot wait! Less than 2 weeks until Steve and I are on the road hitting anything and everything on the way down! Cooler (CHECK) Tent (CHECK) Music (WORKIN ON IT) Suggestions*?? Can you tell I'm excited to get out of dodge!
Tomorrow I have my pre-op appointment with my Reproductive Endocrinologist. She came highly recommended, and so far she's been great. Surgery, however, makes me quiver. I feel 4 years old about it. You know that "I want my mommy" stage. My mother has not prepared me for situations like this. HELL I've never even had a cavity (ok, ok thanks mom!)I'm just nervous about getting knocked out, and the fact that everyone and the RN in training next to him with see my hoo-ha. I'm nervous that the first surgery won't work. I'm scared that after the surgery we still will have issues. I'm scared the bleeding won't stop! Either way, if we really want the end result of all this mess (a happy, smelly, screaming, adorable little bundle) then it must be done. Wish me luck! Nothing to be scared of with a PRE-OP right? (*nevous laugh*)

As promised a picture of Steve and I with the girls from the dance recital. Which was blissfully only 52 minutes long. Any longer and I think we'd of lost Steve for good!
