I was watching the ABC news and was deeply saddened and disturbed with this story. With the investigations going on how can anyone feel safe about international adoption or adoption period. There is such a fierce love for a child and when the government is allowing stolen children to be adopted into American homes, and the people responsible only get a minimum "probation" sentence, that isn't a very good message. It means, go ahead, steal children, you'll only get a slap on the wrist.
Here's an except from The Salt Lake Tribune:
"Standing in front of the people she blamed for almost destroying her family, Elizabeth Muenzler on Wednesday clutched a photo of her adopted Samoan daughter and struggled to relate the depth of her suffering.
"There are no words to describe the disgust and disdain I have for you," Muenzler told defendants as a judge considered how to punish operators and employees of the now-defunct Focus on Children adoption agency. "Lord knows, if anyone deserves jail time, it's you."
After hearing Muenzler's plea and from other parents who either condemned or supported agency operators Scott and Karen Banks, U.S. District Judge David Sam sentenced the couple and two others connected to the agency to five years of probation and banned them for life from the adoption business."
Also here's a video:
I just couldn't imagine the turmoil this would put both families in. They are in my prayers.

I'm gonna hug you and kiss you and love you forever
My Ode to Kindle2:
Oh Kindle 2! Please won't you please come home with me!
I just learned about you a week ago, and stare at your pictures online daily
You are a bit pricy- but I'm willing to save
You sleek form and uploading memory is what I crave.
I don't mind if you're all shades of grey
Having you in my purse would just make my day!
You are as thin as a magazine, Kate Moss would be jealous,
2 weeks worth of reading without recharging, although that's a bit zealous!
Oh, Kindle 2! This is my ode to you!

LOL! I'm such a geek, and that was a bit lame. Seriously though! Look at it from my perspective:
PRO LIST:
1. I READ & READ & READ, this would be my version of going GREEN
2. This would also save gas from traveling to bookstores or Target for random books (Again GREEN)
3. This would save shipping costs and packaging from online ordering (GREEN GREEN!)
4. I could also do homework research on this nifty little thing!
5. If you are looking at it from a guys perspective:
This would be my version of the PS3 or Wii or whatever!
CONS:
1. It cost as much as a PS3 ($359)
2. I have no experience with uploading to a device (you're talking about a woman with an MP3 player that only has 6 songs on it, when it holds 500)
3. This might damage bricks & mortar outlets, and I care about local economy.
Hmmmmm..........

Detroit Hard at Work...
So because I work downtown and they have shut down our interstate until sadly the end of the year (And has been this way for months) it has added about 10-15 of driving time each way to get to and from the office. I am late, almost everyday, because traffic is completely unpredictable. So because I'm now known as "never on time girl" I am starting to leave my house more than 20 min earlier than before. Today I arived 22 min early. It was kind of nice to get here before everyone. Although I'd have to say that traffic is heavier, than 20-30 minutes later.
Anywho, it also adds some things to look at on my way. My route has me traveling directly through Mexican & Cork Town, which is always good for a bit entertainment on my way in and out of the city. This morning as I'm traveling up Michigan Ave, just as I'm passing The Zietgeist & Izzy's Raw I saw the BEST. DRESSED. HOOKER. EVER! Now I wish I was fast enough to snap a photo, but alas, my fingers fumbled in their sleepy state and the moment passed me by, so I scoured the internet for a picture that was close to share, but they were all to racy and not at all appropriate. We'll just say that she/he was abou 6 foot 4. Short-short mini white pleather skirt, with purple fishnets, hot pink vinyl top, bright pink platforms, with a jean jacket, and a TALL TALL orange weave. At least you know she's out workin' hard at seven thirty in the morning.
