End of Summer

Well this week marks Callie's first time being sick. It was bound to happen. Especially since she goes to daycare so Mama and Daddy can work. I didn't want it to happen yet, but I had no control. It started with a little dry cough, then turned into weepy eyes (so I dismissed as allergies/teething), then turned into snuffles and wetter cough. I took her to the doctor. It is just a cold, but with all that mucous she ended up projectile vomiting right on me on the way to work the other day. I have to say it scared the bejesus out of me. I mean she was coughing, then she sounded like she was choking. Then I saw vomit. I was driving south on I75 and have never pulled over so quickly. I jumped in back with her and she just puked all over me. I was shaken. We turned around and came home for another day. Needless to say it's been an exhausting week. The only good thing about going to the doctor was I found out my peanut weighs 15lbs 5oz. Growing like a weed! She is on the upswing now and actually slept through the night last night, Thank Goodness!

This is after I cleaned her up somewhat. Poor sick baby!

After her bath...We both did this for a couple hours

Before all the sickness hit we went to the lake on Sunday. We usually spend all Labor Day weekend there, but with Steve working I just decided to take Callie on Sunday. She can't miss her 1st Ambassador Beach Labor Day table round-up. She also got her first Ambassador Beach tshirt (which was HUGE, and will probably fit her for 3 years!)

Also over the weekend our awesome friend Melodi took her 3 month photos. They are amazing as always. I am so lucky to have such a talented friend, who will go along with my crazy whims! Here's a couple of my precious girl:

In family news, my Dad was diagnosed with a high grade malignant brain tumor. It is inoperable. All we know is he'll be doing radiation and chemo. This was difficult news to absorb, and I'm still trying to process. Please keep him in your prayers.

Sorry I am so late. Sorry Callie was sick:(. I remember when mine got sick for the first time - it's so sad:). And I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He is in my thoughts. Please update when you can on how he is doing.
